Our Business

Jerry Ellis is Senior Consultant and Executive Advisor and founder of Gerald Ellis & Associates, LLC located in Houston, Texas a boutique consulting firm.   His services aim to grow businesses, strengthen organizations and enhance overall performance.  He blends strategic, organization, management, business improvement consulting and executive coaching to serve the distinctive needs of high growth companies, functions and business units.  Growing businesses need to evolve their strategic and organization processes as they grow, but cannot readily adopt the playbooks of major corporations.  Jerry has adapted corporate best practices to guide emerging organizations as they seek to prioritize their actions and build strong organizations.

Clients are private and public companies, service organizations, non-profits and government working with business owners, senior management, boards of directors, investors and trustees. Private clients include executives looking to enhance current roles or find a new position.

His past experience as Partner with Heidrick & Struggles; Director with Deloitte in Marketing, Client Development and Consulting; and Independent Consultant in strategy and organization position him to work with executives across all functions and individually with private clients in furthering their careers. He has lives and worked in Beirut, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia that included working throughout the Middle East.

Jerry graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. degree and completed his MBA at the Cox School of Business at SMU.  In 2005 he completed the Executive and Organization Coaching Program at New York University. 

Jerry has served in leadership roles in numerous not for profit and civic organizations throughout his career including Chairman of the Leadership Board of the American Diabetes Association - Greater New York; Chairman of Southwest Connecticut Regional Planning Agency; Executive Committee and Officer of Board of Directors of STRIVE, a national organizational based in New York City; President of the Alliance for Sensible Airspace Design; and member of the New Canaan Republican Town Committee.
